Delivering Medicine.
It has been exactly two months since I began working at Domino's Pizza. This is about the time a driver becomes comfortable in his/her position as the streets are becoming more familiar and the tasks within the stores are almost involuntary. Answer the phone, slap the stickers on the box, adorn the food, catch the pizzas as they emerge from the oven, cut, box, and out the door. The job is easy, instinctual, and unthinking. What was that last adjective? Unthinking. Perhaps that is why I have decided today is my last day at Domino's. I have learned enough from Domino's for the moment.
The "Delivery Expert" excursion had to be made. I got the job the day after I failed the Board. I didn't have enough money to re-register for the exam. Even though the credit card bills are still not paid off, I have made enough money to cover the exam, buy Christmas presents, and survive next several months. I am sitting for that exam again and I am determined to triumph.
I am relieved, excited, and frightened all at once.
I abandoned Việt Vista for one simple reason. I just could not bring myself to be creative even though I needed to write, to cook, and to take photographs. I miss writing my reviews. The advantage of being on the road a lot is having a lot of time to listen to music in my car. I have gone through tons of old and new albums that I want to review. I will share my vista when I have a chance.
The condition was stable-after-crisis in the realm of family and love within the last two months. I. flew into San Bernardino to visit and we entered disastrous turbulence but we managed worked it out. I reprised my delicious turkey recipe for Thanksgiving and received universal acclaims. Something about this time of year just brings people closer together despite all the bitterness and longing.
I am going to fuel up on all the warmth and love to prepare for my exam. I needed a break from medicine. I took it. And now more than ever I am convinced that I need medicine.
